What is Gateway to Great?

Gateway to Great provides a place to share your goals with the world and access a free online community where people work together to provide resources, feedback and accountability to help each other achieve those goals.

How does it work?

The first step is to simply share your goal. It can be big or small—the only requirement is that you have a genuine willingness to work toward it.

Your goal will then post to the Gateway to Great home page and other members of the site, including Dr. Doug, will be able to view it, comment on it and stay up to date with your progress as you work toward your goal.

How do I get started?

How can I get involved to help others toward their goals?

When you sign up to be a part of Gateway to Great, you not only sign on to get help with your goal, but help others as well.

The site allows you to comment on others’ goals, by providing feedback, encouragement and other resources that may help them achieve great in their lives.

For example, if you see that someone has a goal to increase their sales this year by 20% and, as a sales manager yourself, you have some insight to offer, you are able to comment on their goal and provide suggestions.

The point of this site is to provide a forum for people to help each other toward great in their lives.

What happens once I achieve my goal?

Gateway to Great allows you to search for open, undecided, or resolved goals—allowing viewers to track which goals users are still working toward and which goals have been achieved. You can search specifically for topics your interested here.

What inspired Gateway to Great?

Based on my experience as a Peak Performance coach I know there are many reasons why people don’t achieve the goals that the set for themselves. In my new book, 8 Ways to Great, I talk about the fact that two of the biggest reasons are lack of accountability and access to resources can be big contributing factors.

People I know are always asking me to keep them accountable for their goals and it’s something that I enjoy. As part of the release of my new book, I thought it would be great to offer a free resource to readers that will help them find their way to great.
